Challenges

Living Lightly 24:1 challenges you to take on at least one lifestyle change every 3 months. You can find these lifestyle changes listed and detailed in the sections at the top of this page. In each section, you will find sub-categories, with the ideas classified by a series of icons, depending on the type of challenge. To help you get started, here is a description of what the icons mean.

One-hit Wonder

An easy change. Once you've done it, you're accomplished the task. For example, turning down the thermostat by 1 degree.

Repeating Challenge

These are changes in the way we do things on a daily basis, like remembering to refuse plastic bags, and should become part of our routine.

The Big Ask

Another one time change, but this time more challenging, that may require going that extra mile, like switching to solar power or giving up your car for going to work.

Think on This

These are resources that will help you learn more about how to Live Lightly. These will include books we recommend or websites with further information on a particular subject.

Occasional

These are challenges that won't necessarily be everyday challenges, but happen once every now and then, or are fun activities to carry out from time to time, like taking part in holding a talking to your council or getting to know people better.

These are items to reflect upon on a regular basis.
